1. Addition of Decimals (দশমিক সংখ্যাৰ যোগ)

Steps

• Find the decimal point. (দশমিক বিন্দু বিচাৰক।)


• Line up the decimal points. (সকলো দশমিক বিন্দু একে শাৰীত ৰাখক।)


• Fill empty places with zeros if needed. (খালী ঠাই থাকিলে 0 বহুৱাওক।)


• Add the numbers. (সংখ্যাবোৰ যোগ কৰক।)


• Bring down the decimal point in the answer. (উত্তৰত দশমিক বিন্দু একে স্থানত বহুৱাওক।)

Example / উদাহৰণ

Ans / উত্তৰ = 22.24

Steps

• Find the decimal point. (দশমিক বিন্দু বিচাৰক।)


• Line up the decimal points. (দশমিক বিন্দুবোৰ একে শাৰীত ৰাখক।)


• Fill empty places with zeros if needed. (প্ৰয়োজন হ'লে 0 যোগ কৰক।)


• Subtract the numbers. (বিয়োগ কৰক।)


• Bring down the decimal point in the answer. (উত্তৰত দশমিক বিন্দু একে স্থানত বহুৱাওক।)

Steps

• Multiply as usual. (সাধাৰণ গুণৰ দৰে গুণ কৰক।)


• Ignore the decimal points at first. (আৰম্ভণিতে দশমিক বিন্দু উপেক্ষা কৰক।)


• Count the total decimal places in both numbers. (দুয়োটা সংখ্যাত মুঠ কিমান দশমিক স্থান আছে গণনা কৰক।)


• Put the decimal point in the answer accordingly. (উত্তৰত সেই অনুসৰি দশমিক বিন্দু বহুৱাওক।)

Example / উদাহৰণ 

Total decimal places = 2 + 1 = 3

Ans / উত্তৰ = 3.0

Steps

• The divisor cannot have a decimal. (ভাগকৰ্তাত দশমিক থাকিব নোৱাৰে।)


• Move the decimal in the divisor until it becomes a whole number. (ভাগকৰ্তাৰ দশমিক সৰাই পূৰ্ণ সংখ্যা কৰক।)


• Move the decimal in the dividend by the same amount. (লভ্যাংশত একে সংখ্যক স্থান দশমিক সৰাওক।)


• Divide as usual. (তাৰ পিছত সাধাৰণ ভাগ কৰক।)

Example / উদাহৰণ

14.1 ÷ 3 = 4.7

Steps

• 3 goes into 14 4 times → 4 × 3 = 12


• Subtract: 14 − 12 = 2


• Bring down 1 → 21


• Put the decimal point in the answer


• 3 goes into 21 7 times → 7 × 3 = 21


• Remainder = 0

Ans / উত্তৰ = 4.7
