Trick to Subtract a Mixed Fraction from a Whole Number
Ex: 11 - 12/19 = ?
Simple Trick:
- Subtract 1 from the whole number : 11-1 = 10
- Subtract the numerator (12) from the denominator (19): 19 − 12 = 7
- Keep the same denominator (19), and combine the two results:
- Ans = 10 7/19
