What is Average ?

The average is the central or middle value of a group of numbers.
It shows what each value would be if the total were distributed equally among all items.

In simple words, the average is the equal share for everyone.

Formula for Average

Average = Total Sum of all Numbers / Number of Items ​

Example to Understand Average

Let’s say the marks of 5 students are: 60, 70, 80, 90, 100

1^st : Add all the marks

60 + 70 + 80 + 90 + 100 = 400

2^nd : Number of students = 5

3^rd : Find the average:

Average = 400 / 5 = 80

So, the average marks of the 5 students is 80.

Importance of Average

The average helps us understand the overall level or performance of a group.
It is widely used in mathematics and daily life — for finding
