Section 1: Articles বুলিলে কি বুজায় ?

Articles হ’ল এনে শব্দ যিবোৰ noun-ৰ আগতে ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয় যাতে বস্তুটো সাধাৰণ নে নিৰ্দিষ্ট সেইটো বুজা যায়।

Section 3: “A” ৰ ব্যৱহাৰ

“A” ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয় -

• Consonant sound-ৰে আৰম্ভ হোৱা শব্দৰ আগতে


• Singular countable noun-ৰ আগতে


• প্ৰথমবাৰ উল্লেখ কৰা বস্তুৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত

উদাহৰণ: a boy, a pen, a university, a European country

মন কৰিব: উচ্চাৰণ (sound) গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ, বানান নহয়।

Section 4: “AN” ৰ ব্যৱহাৰ

“An” ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয় -

• Vowel sound-ৰে আৰম্ভ হোৱা শব্দৰ আগতে


• Singular countable noun-ৰ আগতে

উদাহৰণ: an apple, an honest man, an hour

ব্যাখ্যা: honest আৰু hour শব্দত ‘h’ উচ্চাৰিত নহয়, সেয়ে “an” ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়।

Section 5: “THE” ৰ ব্যৱহাৰ

“The” ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়—

• যেতিয়া noun টো নিৰ্দিষ্ট হয়


• আগতে উল্লেখ কৰা noun-ৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত


• একেটা-মাত্ৰ বস্তুৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত

উদাহৰণ: the sun, the moon, the Taj Mahal, the book you gave me

Section 6: “A / AN” আৰু “THE” ৰ পাৰ্থক্য

• A / An → সাধাৰণ অৰ্থ, প্ৰথম উল্লেখ


• The → নিৰ্দিষ্ট অৰ্থ, দ্বিতীয় উল্লেখ

উদাহৰণ: I saw a dog. The dog was barking.

Section 7: ZERO ARTICLE

তলৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত article ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা নহয় -

• Plural noun (সাধাৰণ অৰ্থত)


• Uncountable noun


• ভাষাৰ নাম


• খোৱাৰ নাম


• Abstract noun (সাধাৰণ অৰ্থত)

উদাহৰণ: Children like toys. Milk is healthy. He speaks English. We eat dinner at night.

Article নব্যৱহাৰ: India, France, Asia, Mount Everest

“The” ব্যৱহাৰ: the USA, the UK, the Himalayas, the Ganga

• Superlative degree-ৰ সৈতে: the best, the tallest


• Ordinal number-ৰ সৈতে: the first, the second


• বাদ্যযন্ত্ৰ-ৰ সৈতে: the guitar, the piano

Wrong: an university → Right: a university
Wrong: a honest man → Right: an honest man
Wrong: the milk is good (সাধাৰণ অৰ্থ) → Right: milk is good
Wrong: a sun → Right: the sun

• Articles কেৱল noun-ৰ আগতেই ব্যৱহাৰ হয়


• Sound বানানতকৈ বেছি গুৰুত্বপূৰ্ণ
