Steps to Use a Computer (Detailed Study Note)

1. Turn On the Computer: Press the power button on the CPU or laptop (āĻ•āĻŽā§āĻĒāĻŋāĻ‰āĻŸāĻžā§°āĻŸā§‹ āĻ…āĻ¨ āĻ•ā§°āĻŋāĻŦāĻ˛ā§ˆ power button āĻŸāĻŋāĻĒāĻ•)


2. Log In to the System: Enter your username and password (Username āĻ†ā§°ā§ password āĻ˛āĻŋāĻ–āĻŋ āĻ˛āĻ—-āĻ‡āĻ¨ āĻ•ā§°āĻ•)


3. Understand the Desktop Screen: The desktop shows (Desktop āĻ¤ āĻĻā§‡āĻ–āĻž āĻ¯āĻžāĻ¯āĻŧ): i. Icons, ii. Taskbar, iii. Start Menu


4. Use the Mouse and Keyboard



  • Mouse → click, select, drag (Mouse → āĻ•ā§āĻ˛āĻŋāĻ•, āĻ¨āĻŋā§°ā§āĻŦāĻžāĻšāĻ¨, āĻŸāĻžāĻ¨āĻŋ āĻ˛ā§‹ā§ąāĻž)

  • Keyboard → typing, commands (Keyboard → āĻŸāĻžāĻ‡āĻĒ āĻ•ā§°āĻž, āĻ†āĻĻā§‡āĻļ āĻĻāĻŋāĻ¯āĻŧāĻž)


5. Open an Application: Click on an icon or use Start Menu.(Icon āĻ¤ āĻ•ā§āĻ˛āĻŋāĻ• āĻ•ā§°āĻŋ āĻŦāĻž Start Menu ā§° āĻĒā§°āĻž āĻ–ā§āĻ˛āĻ•). Ex - āĻ‰āĻĻāĻžāĻšā§°āĻŖ: MS Word, Paint


6. Use the Internet: Open a web browser like: i. Google Chrome, ii. Microsoft Edge, iii. Mozilla Firefox


Search information, open websites (Browser āĻ–ā§āĻ˛āĻŋ āĻ¤āĻĨā§āĻ¯ āĻŦāĻŋāĻšāĻžā§°āĻ• āĻ†ā§°ā§ website āĻšāĻžāĻ“āĻ•)


7. Create and Save a File: Create a file in Word / Notepad : Click Save → Choose location → Save


8. Close Applications: Click the close (X) button ( button āĻŸāĻŋāĻĒāĻŋ āĻŦāĻ¨ā§āĻ§ āĻ•ā§°āĻ•)


9. Shut Down the Computer: Go to Start Menu → Shut Down (Start Menu → Shut Down āĻ•ā§āĻ˛āĻŋāĻ• āĻ•ā§°āĻ•)
