We use I have / I've + V3 to talk about our experience or something that has happened in our life. I have / I've + V3 āĻā§ā§ąāύ⧰ āĻ āĻāĻŋāĻā§āĻāϤāĻž āĻŦāĻž āĻāϤāĻŋāĻŽāϧā§āϝ⧠āĻšā§ā§ąāĻž āĻāĻžāĻŽ āĻŦā§āĻāĻžāĻŦāϞ⧠āĻŦā§āĻ¯ā§ąāĻšāĻžā§° āĻšāϝāĻŧāĨ¤ Past participle (V3) means the third form of the verb such as eaten, seen, gone, visited. Structure: I have / I've + past participle (V3) + object/place/etc.
Ex: i. I've been to Goa twice. ii. I've already eaten breakfast. iii. I've seen that movie before. iv. I've bought a new phone. v. I've finished my work. vi. I've met her at a party.
Common Mistakes / āϏāĻžāϧāĻžā§°āĻŖ āĻā§āϞ
Wrong : I have went to the market. : Correct : I have gone to the market. (go → gone)
Wrong : I've go to school. : Correct : I've gone to school. (go → gone)
Wrong : I have eat lunch. : Correct : I have eaten lunch. (eat → eaten)
Wrong : I've seened that film. : Correct : I've seen that film. (see → seen)
Wrong : I have visiteded Delhi. : Correct : I have visited Delhi. (visit → visited)
These are wrong because after have / I've, we must use only the past participle (V3). Have/I've-ā§° āĻĒāĻŋāĻāϤ āϏāĻĻāĻžāϝāĻŧ V3 āĻŦā§āĻ¯ā§ąāĻšāĻžā§° āĻā§°āĻŋāĻŦ āϞāĻžāĻā§āĨ¤ Ex: go → gone, eat → eaten, see → seen, visit → visited.
Trick / āĻā§ā§°āĻŋāĻ : If you can use “He/She has…”, then you can also use “I have / I've…”.
