Ans:  The Maharaja's servants and officials were not genuinely loyal. Most of them obeyed him because they feared losing their jobs or facing punishment. The Dewan, hunters, and other officials constantly tried to please him. Their obedience was based more on fear than respect. Similar situations can sometimes be seen in modern political systems where people support powerful leaders due to pressure, fear, or personal gain rather than genuine admiration.
