Q. Two persons are moving towards each other at speeds of 5 km/h and 10 km/h. What is their relative speed ?


Formula:


Relative Speed (Opposite Direction) = V₁ + Vā‚‚


Where:



  • V₁ = Speed of the first object

  • Vā‚‚ = Speed of the second object


Solution:


V₁ = 5 km/h
Vā‚‚ = 10 km/h


Relative Speed = V₁ + Vā‚‚
= 5 + 10
= 15 km/h


Ans: 15 km/h
