1. Top ↔ Bottom

• Top means the highest part.


• Bottom means the lowest part.

Ex: A book is at the top of a table. A bag is at the bottom.

• Up means going higher.


• Down means going lower.

Ex: A balloon goes up. A stone falls down.

3. Above ↔ Below

• Above means higher than something.


• Below means lower than something.

Ex: The fan is above the table. The shoes are below the table.

4. On ↔ Off

• On means something is working.


• Off means something is not working.

Ex: The light is on. When we switch it off, the light is off.
