Advice (noun)



  • Meaning: A suggestion or opinion about what someone should do.

  • Usage: You give or receive advice.


Example:
– My teacher gave me good advice about studying.
– Can I give you some advice?


Tip: You cannot "give someone an advise" – it’s always "advice" (a thing).


Advise (verb)



  • Meaning: To give advice; to suggest what someone should do.

  • Usage: You advise someone to do something.


Example:
– I advise you to study hard for the test.
– The doctor advised me to rest.


Tip: If you're doing the action of giving advice, use "advise".
